Following a 6 week public consultation period, the Post Office has announced it will be closing 10 of the 23 Post Offices in Darlington.
The Post Office said that it considered all the public consultation feedback, from 22 meetings with customers and some 2,590 individual responses, but the identified closures were necessary to save the remaining network and stem losses of £4 million each week.
Alan said: "Post Office Limited's decision to go ahead with the three closures in Darlington is not only disappointing, it rides roughshod over the views of residents and the arguments I and others made for a rethink."
